About the Author
Bole Butake was born in 1947 in Nkor, Noni Subdivision, in Cameroon’s North-West Region. He served as a Professor of Performing Arts and African Literature at the University of Yaoundé I. In addition, he worked as a writer, critic, and theatre director. He also conducted workshops across Cameroon on various social issues. Through his work, Bole Butake used Theatre for Development to promote reflection, participation, and social engagement.
